Procedures performed by professor Zofia Dudkiewicz, M.D., Ph.D.
Professor Zofia Dudkiewicz, M.D., Ph.D. specializes in surgical treatment of congenital disorders. She treats cleft lip and palate. Thanks to her original method of treatment the number of necessary procedures and the recovery time has been minimized. Fast completion of all correction procedures results in full recovery already before the child enters school age. Moreover Professor Dudkiewicz has developed one-stage treatment of subcoronal, midshaft and penoscrotal hypospadias. She has introduced new method of the treatment of the Pierre-Robin syndrome. In her work professor Dudkiewicz focuses also on craniofacial anomalies. She treats facial hemangiomas and congenital disorders, post traumatic and post inflammatory craniofacial changes. She removes large melanocytic navi and treats deformities of hands and feet (syndactyly and polydactyly). Considering psychological aspects of the child’s future development, she proves that surgical treatment of the congenital disorders should be concluded by the time the child is 2-3 years old, so that it won't be aware that it differs from others.
