General Information - Dr Piotr Golebiowski
Dr Piotr Golebiowski is an ophthalmologist with many years of professional experience. In 1991, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Gdansk receiving the title of medical doctor. In 1993, he earned a first degree of specialisation in ophthalmology, and five years later he received a second degree of specialisation in this field. He is a member of the District Medical Chamber in Gdansk.
He gained experience in recognized medical centres in Poland. In 1991-2000, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Ophthalmology at Specialist Hospital of St. Wojciech in Gdansk. From 2002 to 2004, he served as senior consultant of the ophthalmic sub-unit of "Jankowo" Orthopaedics and Surgery Hospital in Gdansk; and in 2003-2004 he was assistant of the head of the Department of Ophthalmology in Hospital in Chojnice. Since 2003, he has been performing laser vision correction treatments in Tri-city medical centres. He is currently president of Laguna Medical Pomeranian Health Centre, based in Gdynia.

Dr Golebiowski provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases of the eye. He treats eye problems both conservatively and surgically. He treats glaucoma using laser therapy and surgery. He also performs laser therapy of the retina. He does LASIK laser vision correction, premium contact lens implants, and treats cataracts with phacoemulsification. Dr Golebiowski carries out ophthalmology procedures under local anaesthesia; if it is necessary, in some procedures, general anaesthesia is used. An anaesthesiologist constantly monitors patients.
